home again, home again...

We were gone for two weeks. Didja miss me?

We went out east to see my folks and to celebrate my nephew's 4th birthday. We saw five provinces in fourteen days. We ate and/or drank coffee from six Tim Hortons. We rode two ferries. We visited family in Digby, Halifax and Montague. We saw friends I hadn't seen in years. We learned about dairy farming, and the boys swam in the Atlantic Ocean. We really lucked out with the weather, dodging much of the rain that's plagued eastern Canada this summer.

We got back in time for dinner, laundry and a grocery run.

 

Tomorrow I go back to the office. I'm so not looking forward to that. Oh well, gotta pay the bills.

Vacation photos to follow later this week. Promise. :)

addiction... obsession... whatever!

Whatever you want to call it... I admit it. I have an illness. But I don't want a cure. ;)

 

I bought these American Crafts brads from Jenn (who so kindly set one of each colour aside for me to pick from when she got her order in),  but now I need to find a storage system for them. Tell me, how do you store your brads? Where'd you buy the containers? How much did they cost? I need to figure out a better way to keep mine organized.

A few of the creative forces behind the now defunct Simple Scrapbooks magazine have started a new venture. :)

Ella Publishing will offer a monthly eZine (free!) and some awesome eBooks from authors all Simple fans will recognize... these inspiring idea books will be affordable and of professional quality (designed by the awesome Cathy Zielske herself!). The eBooks can be viewed on your computer or printed out and bound to be added to your idea book library... your choice! I got a sneak peek of one of the first titles, and it was amazing!

I'm super-excited to be part of this project. There is a group of us who are serving as an advisory board and/or providing content for the eZine... it's been a lot of fun so far, and I think it's about to get a whole lot bigger.
