Okay, I'll confess... it's been years since I bought a fashion magazine or followed what colours are in or out in any given season. I wear old clothes because they're comfortable and they don't make accentuate muffin top (thank you, Cathy Zielske for bringing that term into my world!) thereby making me look 4 months pregnant. (And sadly, yes, I've had people ask! Not recently, but I think it's because my kids are getting older now.)
Sorry. I got off track there.
I love bold, saturated colours. I used to be all about black, white, grey and browns... and I still have a good number of basic pieces in my wardrobe in these colours, but my preference, ever since becoming a mom, is bright colours. And ever since I started scrapbooking, my tastes are even more pronounced. I'd take a pack of BG Lime Rickey over BG Recess or BG Marrakech any day! :)
Did you know the colour of the year for 2010 is turquoise? It's not a good colour for me... I don't look good in most shades of blues or greens. Oh well.
The great thing about crafting is that it doesn't matter if it matches my hair colour/style or anything else. If I use black and white photos, I can use whatever colour of paper or ribbons I want. And the sky's the limit when it comes to card-making.
On Sunday, I celebrated my favourite colours by using a wee strip of my favourite KI Memories paper, a few paper punches, including my new Martha Stewart butterfly (thank you, Santa!) and a couple of American Crafts sentiment rub-ons. There's also a bit of glitter in the form of Doodlebug glitter and a dollar store gem.
It was a busy weekend here. I spent most of it driving the kids around to their lessons. I also did some baking, a bit of cooking and all the usual stuff (groceries, laundry, etc.), and I cut Mike's hair. I didn't get around to cutting the boys' hair though. Maybe I'll haul them to the barbershop instead. Hmmmm...
Happy Monday, everyone! Thanks for dropping by to visit. :)
Pretty card.
I love torquois, but it's not a colour that I can wear that well either. Like you, though, I will glady use it in my scrapping because it's one of my favourites to work with.
Have a happy Monday!

What a cute card! :) Looks like we were ahead of the trend by painting Morgane's room turquoise last November! I'm such an "in" person even without knowing it! LOL ;P

That butterfly punch is one of the best investments I've ever made, I use it all the time!
