I remember when he had short spiky hair. Really boyish. Easy to care for. Perfect for swimming and tennis or any sport, really.

Enter exhibit 1: the ten year old boy

Wants to have longer hair.
Would prefer never to cut it.

Thinks he would like to be Elrond (long haired elf from LOTR) for Halloween this year.
Told by tennis coach to wear a cap or headband to keep hair out of eyes.
